You have heard this one...
'failing to plan is planning to fail'. Well it has a lot of truth in
it but don't make it an absolute, some things can grow a little more
organically.
Planning is more about creating a map
that will tell you if you are close to where you want to go and being
smart enough not to miss the unplanned opportunities that come along.
Not
everyone is good at planning, in fact most
of us are not.
It's worth finding out a bit about how you work best so you
don't try and do something you may have difficulty with. You may need to align yourself with others to help you realise your ideas.
